Worthington III (Billy) and his wife Ashley, wealthy New England socialites, are contemplating divorce. Their Massachusetts estate consists of a 200-acre compound, with a sixteen-bedroom mansion, and a smaller beach cottage.           Thanks to a pre-nuptial agreement, both know precisely what to expect from a divorce settlement. There is one item however, that both parties want... and that is the famous Worthington necklace. Since both want to keep the necklace for themselves, both Billy and Ashley devise separate plans to steal the necklace. And then... Death by Chocolate by Paul Freed March 4 - April 25, 2010           Members of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort are dropping like flies, including famed chef Edith Chiles! On the eve of the grand re-opening, this is not the best advertisement!           It's up to John Stone, the manager, to find the cause and the murderer. Delightfully sarcastic and cynical, Stone finds himself teaming up with Ed Parlor, mystery writer and amateur sleuth, in a wacky race against time.           The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates, and the suspects include all the outlandish characters working for the resort. Could it be Lady Riverdale, owner of the resort, and a woman with dark secrets? Or Ralph Deadwood, gym instructor and all around cad? Dick Simmering, the aerobics instructor? Anne, the panic stricken nurse? Or could it be "Sweet Pea" Meadowbrook, overweight and grieving daughter of the recently deceased founder of the resort? Perkins, a mild mannered CPA, accidently picks up the wrong briefcase one full of money. Henry assumes it is illicit cash and he decides to keep it. Knowing that the former owner must have his briefcase, he rushes home to book one way fares to Barcelona.           He tells his confused wife to leave everything behind; if she doesn't like Barcelona, they can go to Bali. In fact, they can buy Bali!           The doorbell rings as they wait for their taxi. The police detective at the door thinks Henry was soliciting in the men's room of the local pub actually, he was sitting in the loo counting the cash.           The bell rings again. The Kitchen Witches by Caroline Smith July 15 - September 5, 2010           Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two "mature" cable-access cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years, ever since Stephen Biddle dated one and married the other.           When circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults are flung harder than the food!           Dolly's long-suffering TV-producer son Stephen tries to keep them on track, but as long as Dolly's dressing room is one inch closer to the set than Isobel's, it's a losing battle, and the show becomes a rating smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry Springer! __________     "Canadian playwright Caroline Smith has whipped up a hilarious tale." ~~ Simcoe Times-Reformer     "Take a handful of animated actors, add a lively and responsive audience, let the plot thicken and you get a savory show that's sure to please even the fussiest palate." ~~ The Orangeville Banner     Winner of the 2005 Samuel French Canadian Play Contest Lovers and Other Strangers by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna September 9 - October 31, 2010           Critics had a hard time figuring out which of these four comedies about the superiority of women is funniest.           The first introduces a young man who starts to seduce a lady, only to have the tables turned on him. The second involves a married couple who can't figure out whose turn it is to commence love making.           The third opens in a girl's apartment at 4 a.m. when her fiancé arrives to tell her he is a nervous wreck and can't go through with the wedding. She gently leads the way back to the wedding route.           In the last, a couple who have fought for over thirty years try to save their son's marriage by confessing their own failings. __________     "A lot of smiles as well as genuine belly laughs." ~~ NY Times     "Realistic and observant ... Sketch[es] a character with a few strokes." ~~ NY Post     "Very funny and engaging." ~~ Wall Street Journal How the Other Half Loves by Alan Ayckbourn November 4 - December 26, 2010           There are three couples in this play, the men all working for the same firm.           One of the younger men is having an affair with the wife of the oldest, and when each returns home suspiciously late one night - or early one morning - they invent a story about having to spend some time smoothing domestic matters in the home of the third couple.           Of course, the third couple have to show up to put the fat in the fire, but that complication only adds to the fun of this famous farce. __________     "A theatrical adroitness as clever as tennis at its best." ~~ N.Y.
